
This brace is lightweight and provides great support around the ankles. However, it has a bottom part that takes away all the heel cushioning of the shoe itself. I used this for 8 weeks and got plantar fasciitis with some serious heel pain because the muscle kept getting squished on the bottom part of this brace. I had to stop playing hoops because of the pain. 12 weeks after, I finally got over the p.f. in my left foot with RICE (RestIceCoolingElevation), but my right foot is still in bad shape.
It's the best ankle support I've seen around, but I'd strongly recommend removing the bottom part of this brace with some pliers. It will impact the support, but you won't be sidelined with p.f. which is a pain to get rid of.
